Madeleine Matzer

Thirty years ago, when I was first introduced to Voice Dialogue, it was a life-changing experience. I learned to look at myself and others with more compassion and understanding. I broke through old and unconscious patterns and discovered new possibilities. I got in touch with my vulnerabilities and learned to take better care of them. I met some of my shadow sides, which I had often unconsciously projected onto others, and I rediscovered forgotten pieces of myself that I had lost along the way. From that moment on, Voice Dialogue has been a constant companion in my life.

I wanted to learn as close to the source as possible, which is why I chose the Master’s program at ITP, led by Robert Stamboliev, one of the founding figures of Voice Dialogue in Europe. Today, alongside my work as a coach and facilitator, I also contribute to ITP as a trainer and educator in programs such as the Summer Academy, three-day workshops, and the two-year Hybrid Master’s program.

In addition to my work with Voice Dialogue, I have spent my entire career in the theater, including twenty years as artistic director of my own professional theater company. In my directing and writing I often drew on the wisdom of Voice Dialogue: the awareness that every human being carries many different parts within, and that it is precisely this wholeness that makes us rich and unique.

I don’t know any other method that brings awareness and clarity so quickly and effectively, while being both grounded and deeply spiritual. Meeting and embracing all of my inner aspects has made me a more conscious and fulfilled person. That’s a gift I wish for everyone.

With decades of experience as a trainer, teacher, director, manager, coach, and facilitator, I am often described as safe, engaged, and professional. My passion lies in supporting others through meaningful encounters.  I enjoy supporting people in difficult choices, existential questions, or simply in those moments when you no longer quite understand or recognize yourself.

In recent years, amongst others, I’ve worked a lot with people dealing with burnout prevention and recovery, often through occupational health services. For the past three years, I’ve been living and working in Heino, near Zwolle, where I run my own independent coaching practice. Online coaching is also an option, and many clients experience it as both personal and effective.
